I have nothing to wear to Florida and it feels great. My daughter was with me last night trying on my shorts after I washed them all in hot. NONE OF THEM FIT. She said to me, “Mom, it is great to see you smile because your clothes don’t fit. I used to feel so bad for you when I’d see the tears in your eyes when you couldn’t find anything that you could wear because it was too small. Now that everything is too big, you have a big smile on your face and you look so happy”. God, I wanted to hug her. But she is right.
I can’t thank you enough for introducing me to the HCG diet. It has made so huge of a difference in my life. Not just weight loss. It has made a lifestyle change for me, made me healthier, more aware of what I eat and what I do, made me feel so much better and given me more self confidence and the ability to feel good about myself, mentally, which I hadn’t had for many years. I know you are going to say that “it was me. I did it”. You are correct. But that is only half of the story. If I didn’t have you both and Leo didn’t give me the information about the diet, support me and be there every step of the way, I would never have done it and I would have failed like I did so many times before.
As a fitness instructor teaching four to five classes a day, four times a week, I could pretty much eat whatever I wanted understanding through sheer exercise alone, I would burn the excess calories consumed. But, I was a closet junk-food junkie opting for high carbs meals and sugary snacks over better nutritional choices.
Fitness industry burnout gave way to a desk job where for the last ten years, I lead a more sedentary lifestyle. One of the things that didn’t change was my eating habits. Doughnuts, bagels, cakes, cookies, you name it, were readily available to me on a daily basis. I didn’t resist temptation, I embraced it! No surprise, I packed on twenty-five pounds. I convinced myself that at 58 years old and post-menopausal, I should get used to my two new sidekicks, dumpy and frumpy. What I learned about nutrition from my years in fitness, I should have been eating better, but I couldn’t get off the junk-food cycle.
I heard about the HCG diet through a friend. I was skeptical – very skeptical. My intention was to meet with Dr. Tony and find out all the things that wouldn’t work for me because it’s was just too good to be true. Dr. Tony was kind, patient and very thorough. He gave me hope that if I followed the HCG plan, I could finally be rid of the excess weight I had gained, as well as, adopt new eating habits. The HCG diet is the easiest weight loss plan I have ever tried. The results are so rapid, you are encouraged to continue just to see what the next day will bring.
Aware that I would probably qualify for only one cycle, I wanted to get the most out of the program. I followed it to the letter, keeping it as simple as possible. By the end of six weeks, I lost 20 pounds and 23 inches! My first week into maintenance, I have lost an additional 1.5 pounds. With other diets I used to say I have lost so little, now I say, I have so little left to lose!
To be honest, you must be ready to follow the plan – cheaters, don’t bother. Ultimately, it was the combination of my will with Dr. Tony’s guidance, encouragement, kindness, and good sense of humor that transformed me back to the person I was so many years ago except for I’m off the junk food! I was introduced to HCG by a friend of mine, who was already in her 3rd week of the diet. I have tried many diets before and was unsuccessful, so I thought, “why not give it a try”. This, by far, is the easiest and most successful diet I have ever been on. I saw the inches and pounds melting away, day by day, without exercise. The HCG diet truly made me feel good and I had enough energy to get me thru the day, even though only eating 500 calories. This was truly a life changing experience and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight and feel better!! -Linda
This experience was great. I learned a lot. I didn't have much to lose in the beginning but I decided to try this out because my eating was getting out of control. This diet has helped me a lot, not only to learn about what is good and bad for my body, because I already had an idea :), but the reasons why eating healthier is better. And how healthy eating not only helps my body but It helps me feel really good about myself. A few people told me I was crazy to go on a diet because I did not look heavy but I learned that even if you are a thin person who doesn't need to loose a lot of weight, this diet can help you eat better. I lost the least amount of pounds compared to the rest of my coworkers but it feels great anyways. -Herminia
